LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the season with a resounding 23-1 victory over visiting Brevard College in USA South Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Callaway Stadium in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers took a 5-0 lead by the end of the first quarter with junior midfielder Candler Woods (Macon, Ga.) scoring two goals with two assists.
- Up 12-0 at the half, LaGrange did not let up, pulling away down the stretch.
- Senior attacker Nicholas Murciano (Gainesville, Ga.), the Panthers' leading scorer this season, posted seven goals with four assists while Woods finished with five goals and four assists.
- LaGrange senior midfielder Tyler Abrams (McDonough, Ga.) dished out eight assists with three goals.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange freshman goalkeeper Alex Mann (Peachtree City, Ga.) tallied nine saves for the Panthers for his first career win.
- Brevard sophomore goalkeeper Jameson Murray (Charleston, S.C.) posted a valiant effort for the Tornados with 36 saves.
- It is the first career victory for first-year LaGrange head coach Carter Brand.
