HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers took a 2-0 lead at the start of the first quarter with senior attackman Nicholas Murciano (Gainesville, Ga.) and sophomore defenseman Jackson Ball (North Cobb, Ga.) each scoring a goal.
- William Peace was able to respond, scoring three unanswered to go up 3-2 in the second period. Murciano had other plans for the visiting Pacers, netting a quick pair of goals to put the Red and Black back in front 4-3.
- After both teams continued to trade goals, the first half finally came to a conclusion as LaGrange trailed by just one down 7-6 at the half. Senior midfielder Tyler Abrams (McDonough, Ga.) and junior midfielder Candler Woods (Macon, Ga.) each tallied goals for LC in the second period.
- Ball and Murciano once again tag-teamed, this time for a three-goal burst to open up the third stanza to help LaGrange go up 9-7. The Pacers would not go away easily, however, as the good guys possessed only a 10-9 lead with one quarter remaining.
- After the Panthers had gone up 11-9, Piedmont's Tyler Rutherford was able to knot the game up at 11-apiece with 10 minutes left in regulation.
