Woods Nets Five as MLAX Falls Short at Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Junior midfielder Candler Woods (Macon, Ga.) scored five goals as the LaGrange College men's lacrosse team lost 17-5 at Huntingdon College in USA South Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening at Charles Lee Field at Samford Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Woods entered the game with only eight goals scored this season and just 15 for his career. He equaled his career high by accounting for all five Panther goals in the contest.
  • Assists for LaGrange were tallied by junior midfielder Adam Jones (Maryville, Tenn.) with two and one from senior midfielder Tyler Abrams (McDonough, Ga.).
  • Jones also racked up ten ground balls and two caused turnovers while going 14-of-23 on faceoffs in a fantastic overall performance.
  • LaGrange freshman goalkeeper Alex Mann (Peachtree City, Ga.) tallied 22 saves on the night.
  • Huntingdon senior midfielder Tristan Dial (Woodstock, Ga.) and junior attacker Connor Angst (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) each had three goals for the Hawks while senior attacker Kelcey Marston (Tallahassee, Fla.) posted two goals with four assists.
