LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange freshman cornerback Donell Williams (Bessemer, Ala.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Defensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 2^nd, 2025.

Williams had a breakout performance on Saturday during the Panthers' 49-20 win at Greensboro College. With 1:44 left in the game and the Pride driving, Williams picked off a pass by Greensboro junior quarterback Chase Altis (Stuarts Draft, Va.) and returned it 71 yards for a pick six, his first career interception.

With a 7-1 overall record and a 5-0 record in the USA South standings, the Panthers are tied for the conference lead along with Belhaven University. The Blazers come to LaGrange on Saturday when they'll play the Panthers with the conference championship on the line.
