LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman quarterback Kirk Scott (Richmond Hill, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been voted the USA South Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Year in an announcement by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Scott was a revelation for the Panthers this season, stepping into the lineup and rushing for 253 yards off of 38 carries for seven touchdowns, all while averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Scott's breakout game came at home against Huntingdon College on October 25^th, when he rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-14 win. Scott had another impressive performance and Belhaven University on November 8^th when he rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown in a 38-6 to clinch a share of the USA South Championship.

Scott also finished the season with six punt returns for 54 yards.

The 2025 season saw the Panthers of LaGrange enjoy their best season since 2008 as they went 9-1 overall and 7-0 in conference, winning the USA South Championship and clinching a spot in the NCAA Championship Tournament.

The Panthers travel to Framingham State University in Framingham, Massachusetts on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. game in the first round of the NCAA Championships.
