LAGRANGE, Ga. – Sophomore forward Kani Rashied-Henry (Tyrone, Ga.) of the LaGrange College men's basketball team was tabbed the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Player of the Week in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

Rashied-Henry continued his dominant start to the season, recording his third straight double-double while averaging 15.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game over two outings. The 6'8 forward shot an impressive 82.4 percent from the field for the week. Rashied-Henry opened with a standout 19-point, 11-rebound performance in a 92–87 win at Brevard on Wednesday, then followed with 12 points and 13 boards against Millsaps on Saturday.

"Kani [Rashied-Henry] is a hard worker and deserves and accolade he receives." LaGrange head coach Kendal Wallace said of his standout sophomore. "Happy he wears the red and black!"

At press time, Rashied-Henry leads the Panthers with 34 rebounds (25 defensive) and 10 blocks in addition to 47 points to the Sandy Creek High School product's credit.

LaGrange is back on the court on Friday and Saturday when they travel to Pensacola Christian College to compete in the Pensacola Classic against the host Eagles and Welch College.
