LAGRANGE, Ga. – Senior cornerback Legend Doggett (McDonough, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 9^th, 2025 in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

Doggett's efforts against Belhaven on Saturday saw him intercept two passes by the Blazers, helping to spark the Panthers to a 38-6 victory. Doggett's first interception came in the opening quarter, was returned 15 yards to the Belhaven 33-yardline and led to the first score of the game two plays later. His second pickoff, in the second quarter as Belhaven was driving to cut into the Panther lead, was grabbed at the LaGrange three yard line and returned 14 yards.  

With the win, LaGrange clinches at least a share of the USA South Championship and an NCAA Division III Tournament berth for the Panthers.

LaGrange is back on the field next Saturday when they travel to Southern Virginia University in a 1:00 p.m. contest in their final regular season game.
