These athletes represent the very best of Panther Nation, and it is an honor to welcome them as members of such a prestigious group. Their legacies will inspire future generations of student-athletes at LaGrange College for years to come."
Zak Turner '06 (men's soccer) had standout career as a Panther defender. During his time at LC, he was a key member of the LC Men's Soccer Team. As a four-year starter, Turner played in 62 games. After a phenomenal 2004 campaign, he earned USCAA All-America and USCAA Academic All-America Team honors. The 2004 team achieved the program's best record (7-8) since 1993's 10-7 season. Turner wrapped up his outstanding career as a Panther, making the GSAC All-Conference Team three times and GSAC Academic All-Conference two times.
Caroline Brashier '14, M '15 (women's tennis and women's basketball) killed it on the tennis and basketball courts during her time at LaGrange College. With a racket, she made the Great South Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team, was a two-time GSAC All-Conference selection and a two-time USA South All-Conference member (LC switched conferences during this period). Brashier finished with 34 match victories, crowning her the all-time LC Women's Tennis wins leader. On the hardwood, Brashier's scoring ability outpaced most. She finished ranking in the top ten in multiple LC career, season and game records. During the 2012-13 season, Brashier set the school record for most 3-point field goals made in a season (74) and most points scored in a single game (43). She still holds the title of most made 3-pointers in a game in the USA South (12). Brashier earned USA South All-Conference honors her senior year.
Cory Howard's '15 (men's golf)
Hall of Fame worthy career was full of conference and national accolades. He was the first LC athlete to receive the USA South Don Scalf Award, given to the conference's Male Athlete of the Year. Turner earned spots on the PING Division III All-American and PING Southeast All-Region Teams. In all four years at LaGrange College, he was named to USA South and GSAC All-Conference Teams. Following a great rookie season, he earned GSAC Freshman of the Year honors (2012). After a successful senior campaign, Turner was named USA South Player of the Year and ranked second in Golfstat.com Division III player rankings. During his time at LC, he finished as a low medalist at the USA South Championship Tournament two straight years and led the team to a runner-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Division III National Tournament. After graduating, Turner played professionally on the Florida Professional Golf Tour.
Ryan Broaderick '17 (baseball) dominated the diamond during his time at
LaGrange College. In 2016, Broaderick made the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team and the USA South All-Conference First Team after posting an 8-2 record and an incredible 1.51 ERA.
