The Panther Lacrosse team is taking a trip to Nashville this weekend to face Illinois Tech on Saturday (Feb. 17) at 1 p.m. and then Sewanee at 5 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 18).
The teams
LC has started the season with a 2-1 record, following a 17-12 victory against the Point Skyhawks this past Wednesday (Feb. 14). In this game, sophomore
Luke Young had a team-high four goals. Junior
Ryan Comeau also secured four points after scoring three goals and adding an assist. Illinois Tech has yet to play this season but the Scarlet Hawks are coming off of a 10-6 year. A key player making his return for Illinois Tech is junior midfielder Jackson Brass. Last year, he finished with a team-high 52 points, on 32 goals and 20 assists. Sewanee is 1-0 so far this season after beating Transylvania University 11-7 (Feb. 10). The Tigers are coming off of an 11-5 season. One of the top players returning this year is senior Phelps Thomas. Last year, the attackman had 24 points, with 23 goals and one assist.

The Panthers have not faced either team in recent history.

The first away game is this Saturday (Feb. 17) at 1 p.m. against Illinois Tech. The second and final game of the Nashville trip is Sunday (Feb. 18) at 5 p.m. against Sewanee. Both games can be
