Box Score 2 The Panthers began their season this past weekend with two away matches at Berry. The team dropped their first match to Berry 21-7 (Feb. 10) but won the second game 16-13 over Oglethorpe (Feb. 10).
LaGrange College 7, Berry 21
Berry got off to a quick start in the matchup against LC. In the first half, Michael Bernie for the Vikings would find the most success, scoring four goals on eight shots.
Andrew Brown scored two goals and had one assist for the Panthers in the first.
Lucas Webb started the day in goal for LC and made 13 saves in the first half. At the break, Berry led, 15-4. The Panthers came out of the half locked in. They would finish the quarter, scoring two goals to Berry's three goals. LC kept the ball on their side of the field for the majority of the quarter and out shot the Vikings 12-10. The Panthers would trail 18-6 at the end of the third. LC continued to fight in the fourth, but the Vikings were too much to handle. The Panthers would fall to the Vikings 21-7.
Andrew Brown finished with a team-high three points in the opening game of the LC season.
LaGrange College 16, Oglethorpe 13
Today's game against Oglethorpe was neck and neck throughout.
Klein Woods scored early and often in the matchup against the Petrels. In just the first nine minutes of the game, Woods had scored twice and added an assist when he hit
Michael Poteete on the crease with a great pass. During the second quarter, Oglethorpe would extend their lead to 10-7 after scoring three unanswered goals. The Panthers would claw back to end the half down 11-10. LC would continue their scoring streak going into the third quarter. A goal from Ryan Comeu,

Andrew Brown put the Panthers up 14-11 going into the fourth. Despite
Oglethorpe's best efforts, the Panthers would hold on to win 16-13.
Klein Woods finished with a team-high five points after scoring four goals and one assist.
