Box Score DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont used a strong first half to beat LaGrange 18-6 in a USA South game Friday night at the Walker Athletic Complex. The Panthers are now 0-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Lions are a perfect 3-0 in conference play and upped their overall record to 3-4.
LC got off to a good start in the game. Isaac Fuller opened the scoring with an unassisted goal five minutes into the game. Less than two minutes later, Jack Bryan scored off an assist from Tareyon Delgado for a 2-0 lead.
Piedmont, the reigning USA South champion, responded by scoring the first half's last 12 goals and the first three goals of the second half for a 15-2 lead. Bryan assisted on Delgado's third period goal and added his second goal of the game in the fourth period to make it 15-4. Delgado added two more goals, giving him 10 on the season, to close out the scoring for LC.
Joshua Hargrove took the loss in goal. He allowed the 18 goals, faced 56 shots, and had 20 saves.
The Panthers host Brevard in a USA South game Tuesday at 4 p.m.
