Box Score LaGrange clinched a berth in next week's USA South Tournament with an 83-68 Senior Day win over Covenant on Saturday in Mariotti Gym.
Seniors Jalen Butler, Jordan Johnson and Nick Mitchell were honored in a pregame ceremony.
The Panthers finished the regular season 14-11, winning five of their final six games. They evened their USA South record at 7-7.
The Panthers are the defending champions in next week's conference tournament to be held at Averett University in Danville, Va.
Mark Wagner led all scorers with a season-high 27 points, a point shy of tying his career mark. He tied his career mark with seven 3s, hitting 7-of-10 in the game.
Justyn Olson followed with 15 point, while Mitchell had 14. Tymon Enwereama hit 5-of-6 shots and had 11 points. In the last two games, Enwereama is 14-of-15 shooting.
Covenant (9-16, 7-7 USA South) held the lead for the first 13 minutes of the game.
Wagner's 3-pointer tied the game at 21 and start a 20-2 run by the Panthers over a five minute span. He would add two more treys as the Panthers grabbed a 38-23 lead.
The Scotts had a chance to cut the Panthers' lead to single digits on their final possession of the half. But Wagner made a steal and fed Braxton Ford, who hit a short jumper in the lane at the buzzer for a 40-28 lead.
Covenant stayed close to the Panthers at the outset of the second half and trailed 47-40 with 14:25 left.
The Panthers took control of the game with a 15-3 spurt to open up a 62-47 lead. Olson's two free throws gave the Panthers their biggest lead, 73-51, and the Scots never got closer than the 83-68 final score.
