Box Score ROME, Ga. - Berry College pulled away in second overtime to down LaGrange College 105-95 at the Cage Center on Saturday. The loss dropped the Panthers to 10-13 on the season. Berry improved to 3-18 after winning for the third time in the last four games.
Freshman Aaron Power led four Panthers in double figures with a season-high 22 points. Joey Anderkavich had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Kyron Anderson added 16 points, and Denzel Robinson 15.
The Panthers trailed 37-35 at haltime. They only led once in the second half, 46-44, on a basket by Ross O'Hara with 14:36 left. Anderkavich sent the game into overtime by putting back his own missed shot with two seconds left to tie it at 77.
The Panthers fell behind 87-80 in the first overtime period with 2:38 left. Anderson tied the game at 87 with a basket. After a Viking basket made it 89-87, Jerod Howard's layup sent the game to a second overtime.
In the second overtime, the Panthers trailed 92-91 after Robinson made 1-of-2 free throws. The Vikings closed out the game with a 13-4 run for the 105-95 final.
The Panthers play at Huntingdon on Wednesday before closing out the regular season at home against Maryville on Saturday. Both games are GSAC contests.
