LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman outfielder Ben Edge (Newnan, Ga.) of the LaGrange College baseball team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 8^th, 2026 in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

Getting his first playing time this season, Edge this past weekend against the Petrels of Oglethorpe University, batting .636 (7-for-11) at the plate while driving in four runs and scoring three times. Edge also added two doubles and drew a walk, finishing the week with a .818 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.

It is the third time in five weeks this season that a Panther has been named ROTW for the CCS. Freshman second baseman Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.) had already been so recognized for the weeks ending February 8^th and February 22^nd.

LaGrange is back on the field on Tuesday when they travel to Berry College for a 6:00 p.m. game.
