th to March 8
th, both at home and on the road.
Women's Basketball
The LaGrange College women's basketball continues to enjoy their best season in school history as the won the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championship last Saturday to clinch a spot in the NCAA Championship Tournament. On Monday, the Panthers learned that the will be travelling to Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin for their first round match up against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday evening. The Panthers will be led by senior guard
Laila Battle, the CCS Player of the Year and CCS Defensive Player of the Year who on Saturday added the CCS Tournament Most Valuable Player to her resume. Battle was joined by senior power forward
Amanda Mclendon and freshman guard
Deasia Stinson in earning All-Tournament Honors.
Baseball
The LaGrange College baseball team went 3-0 this past weekend in a sweep at N.C. Wesleyan University. The highlight for the Panthers was certainly senior pitcher
Trystin Merson throwing 17 strikeouts to set a school record, tying for the most K's by a pitcher this season in all of Division III. Merson was recognized for his achievements as he made the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, becoming just the fourth Panther to be so recognized. LaGrange travels to Oglethorpe University on Friday for a 3:00 p.m. game, then they turn around and play host to the Petrels in a 2:00 p.m. double-header.
Softball
The LaGrange College softball team travels to the NFCA Division III Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia this weekend where the Panthers will play six games in three days against teams from all over the nation.
Claire Chamberlain is leading the team with a .367 batting average and 11 hits.
Men's Lacrosse
The LaGrange College men's lacrosse team travels to Oglethorpe University on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. game against the host Petrels.
Men's & Women's Tennis
Hot off their wins against Coastal Alabama Community College – North last Sunday, the LaGrange College men's and women's tennis teams play host to a pair of CCS opponents this weekend, facing Asbury University on Saturday and Maryville College on Sunday.
Track & Field
The LaGrange College men's and women's track & field teams open their inaugural outdoor season when they travel to the Savannah State Eyeopener on Saturday for an 11:00 a.m. meet.
Women's Beach Volleyball
The LaGrange College women's beach volleyball team travels to the Berry College Tournament this Saturday. The Panthers will compete against Richard Bland College, Tennessee Tech University and the host Vikings of Berry.
Flag Football
The LaGrange College flag football team will travel to Milligan University on Saturday where they will play the host Buffs and the Lions of Emmanuel University.
