LAGRANGE, Ga. – Diamond Clemmer has been named as Head Coach of the LaGrange College Cheerleading Program in an announcement by the LaGrange College Athletics Department this week.

"We are excited for Coach Clemmer to embark on a new chapter for the Cheer program at LaGrange College." Vice President of Athletics Matthew Hayes said of the hire. "The energy and enthusiasm for the student experience and the sport are infectious. We look forward to expanding our roster and representing LaGrange College on the mat in competition. She is a great addition to our athletic department."

Clemmer brings a strong background in athlete development, competitive cheer, and leadership, with experience across all-star, middle school, and program-building environments. Since January 2026, she has been leading the vision for LaGrange Cheer with a focus on establishing a competitive, disciplined, and culture-driven program from the ground up.

As part of this new era, LaGrange College Cheerleading will begin building its first competitive team, marking a significant step forward in the program's evolution. While the program has traditionally supported sideline and gameday experiences, this expansion introduces a renewed focus on competitive cheer, creating new opportunities for athletes to train, perform, and represent LaGrange College at a higher level.

Under Clemmer's leadership, the program is centered on athlete development, accountability, and building a strong foundation that will grow for years to come. Recruiting efforts are currently underway as the program looks to attract dedicated, coachable athletes ready to be part of something new and impactful.
