LAGRANGE, Ga. – Three players from the LaGrange College women's volleyball team were voted to the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) All-Conference team in an announcement by the CCS on Tuesday. Sophomore setter
Julia Damico (North Port, Fla.) and freshman outside hitter
Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) were voted first team all-conference while freshman middle-blocker
Kaitlyn Smith (Buckeye, Ariz.) earned second team honors.
Damico led the Panthers with 645 set assists – ranking her first in the conference - while averaging 5.66 assists per set. She also posted a team-high 49 service aces and was second on the team with 3.05 digs per set. On October 25
th, she reached 1000 career set assist milestone, the first LaGrange player to reach that mark since 2017. Damico would later be named the CCS Defensive Player of the Week for that week. Damico was also voted the CCS Setter of the Year.
Krabs dominated for LaGrange all season, leading the team with 3.04 kills per set – ranking her third in the conference – with 277 total kills and earning three CCS Rookie of the Week awards. Krabs totaled 308.5 points on the season while averaging 2.21 digs per set with 40 total blocks on the season.
Smith led the CCS in total blocks with 68 while ranking her third on the team in kills per set (1.59), points and points per set.
"Julia, Alex and Kaitlyn, being selected by the CCS coaches for post-season awards, are representative of the young dynamic talent recently injected into the volleyball program." Head coach

"As we graduate strong senior leadership this fall, these three, along with their fellow classmates will ensure future exciting teams for year to come. I couldn't be prouder of what they are doing on and off the court as representatives of LaGrange College."
The trio headlined a team that was originally picked to finish seventh in the CCS in the coaches' preseason poll. The Panthers far exceeded those expectations, as they went 10-6 in conference play, clinching the fourth seed in the tournament and hosting a quarterfinals match.

Zentrina Choice (Sumter, S.C.) was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.
LaGrange is back on the court on Tuesday when they host Huntingdon in the CCS playoffs. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
