The Collegiate Conference of the South released the postseason golf awards today (May 6). The Panthers had four honorees in this year's awards.
Shannon Lipham won Coach of the Year,
Ian Bramlett earned CCS Rookie of the Year,
Jeremy Edmunds was selected First Team All-Conference and
Martin Prlender made the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.
Coach Lip led the Panthers to a Top 25 regional ranking after finishing in the top-ten in seven different events this season. Off the links, Shannon secured the funding to build an indoor putting green and golf simulator for his team. He has also helped create and oversee the new LC Women's Golf Team (fall 2024 is the inaugural season).Â
Freshman
Ian Bramlett constantly shot great this season. The Winder, Ga. native recently was honored with CCS Rookie of the week after he placed 60th out of 148 golfers in the tough Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. In just over 21 rounds, the CCS Rookie of the Year shot a 75.5 average.
Jeremy Edmunds earned a spot on the First All-Conference Team after having a phenomenal season. The sophomore from Charlotte N.C. most recently secured his third top-ten finish when he tied for fifth place in the CCS Golf Championship. Edmunds also won CCS Player of the Week once this season.
Sophomore
Martin Prlender was selected to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team. The Cordoba, Argentina native has been a great teammate and respectful competitor all season long.Â
