RALEIGH, N.C. – The LaGrange College women's volleyball team won two matches at the 2026 Raleigh Invitational hosted by William Peace University on Friday at the Hermann Athletic Center in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday afternoon. LC won a thrilling five-setter against the Quakers of Guilford College in the early match before sweeping the host Pacers in the late contest. With the victories, the Panthers improve their record to 4-2, their best start to a season since the abridged 2020 season played in the spring of 2021.
LAGRANGE 3, GUILFORD 2 (18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 15-4)
- Facing the Quakers, LaGrange sophomore outside hitter Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) was a dominant force, tallying 17 kills with 19 digs, three total blocks and a .310 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle-blocker Kaitlyn Smith (Buckeye, Ariz.) – the reigning Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Player of the Week – continued her outstanding play of late, hitting .474 with ten kills and four total blocks.
- Junior setter Julia Damico (North Port, Fla.) posted 29 set assists with three aces and 15 digs while junior outside hitter Ella Kahikina (Tampa, Fla.) chipped in with nine kills and eight digs.
LAGRANGE 3, WILLIAM PEACE 0 (26-24, 30-28, 25-19)
- LaGrange junior-transfer outside hitter Ella Sprouse (Sneads, Fla.) stepped up against the Pacers, hitting .483 with 15 kills, three aces and 17 digs.
- LaGrange freshman middle-blocker Jade Furr (Prescott, Ariz.) had the best match of her rookie season thus far, tallying 11 kills with .556 hitting and four total blocks.
- Damico posted 22 assists with two aces and nine digs. Junior libero Isabella Zentkovich (Sharpsburg, Ga.) led the defense with 20 digs.
