DECATUR, Ga. – The LaGrange College softball team enjoyed a doubleheader sweep at host Agnes Scott College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday at Oakhurst Park in Decatur, Georgia.

GAME 1 – AGNES SCOTT 4, LAGRANGE 7

• Trailing 3-1 after three innings of play, Panthers Jenna Yeary (Loganville, Ga.) and Cannon Ramsey (Tallahassee, Fla.) traded RBI singles throughout the fourth and fifth innings to knot the game at three apiece.
• Freshman Bri Totty (Hurtsboro, Ala.) and sophomore Emma Seymour (Carrollton, Ga.) added another pair of insurance runs for LC as they secured the 7-4 win.
• LaGrange junior pitcher Maddie Chauvin (Dallas, Ga.) earned the win in the circle for LaGrange while Totty was credited with the save.

GAME 2 – AGNES SCOTT 2, LAGRANGE 4

• The Scotties once again jumped out to an early lead as they notched the second tilt's first run in bottom of the second inning.
• The Panthers responded with a pair of runs in the top of the third as Hannah Barnett (Douglasville, Ga.) and Cannon Ramsey each scored.
• Agnes Scott was able to tie the game in the bottom of the third after an RBI single from Lia Faulks made it 2-2.
• The game-winner came off the bat of senior Claire Chamberlain (Rome, Ga.) as the Model High School product laid down a 2RBI single to give the Panthers the 4-2 win and the doubleheader sweep.

UP NEXT

• LaGrange is back on the field on Thursday, April 2 when they travel to Piedmont University for a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader against the Lions in Demorest.
