MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The LaGrange College baseball team lost 7-6 at Huntingdon College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Friday evening at Neal Posey Field in Montgomery, Alabama.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers put up two runs in the top of the first inning as freshman second baseman Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.) scored off an error and junior catcher Nicholas Ford (Canton, Ga.) followed that up with an RBI single to drive in senior shortstop Jackson McElvy (Kennesaw, Ga.) as LaGrange went up 2-0.
- Up 2-1 in the top of the third, senior first baseman Curt Bonner (Cartersville, Ga.) hit an RBI single to drive in McGhee and McElvy, giving the Panthers a three-run lead. Three batters later, senior third baseman Colin Jones (Duluth, Ga.) hit an RBI single to left to get Bonner over the plate as LaGrange went up 5-1.
- In the top of the ninth and clinging to a 5-4 lead, the Panthers got an insurance run when freshman right fielder Tanner Morneau (Marietta, Ga.) hit a sacrifice fly to score freshman pinch runner Tony Berry (Savannah, Ga.) to go up 6-4.
- In the bottom of the ninth, the Hawks had two outs with the bases loaded still trailing by two. Junior Mikael Bryant (Elberta, Ala.) would tie it up on a two RBI single. Two batters later, senior Ty Pruitt (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) hit a walkoff single to win it for Huntingdon.
- LaGrange sophomore pitcher Josiah Chiesa (Dalton, Ga.) entered the game in relief in the fifth innings for the Panthers and was lights out until the bottom of the ninth.
