LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's basketball team won 91-88 at Covenant College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday evening at the Barnes PE Center in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was an offensive showcase, as both sides combined for 93 points. LaGrange held the lead by as many as 10 points before the Scots eked out a one-point advantage up 47-46 at the half.
- The second stanza saw a lot of the same as an all-out power struggle ensued in the Barnes Center gym. Up by three with 14 seconds left in the contest, the Panthers were able to force a clutch turnover and secure their 12th win of the season, their fourth in conference play.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Panther junior forward Catfish Battle (Buford, Ga.) shared the co-lead in points with 15 on the evening for the North Gwinnett High School product.
- LaGrange senior guard Micah McAllister (Newnan, Ga.) was credited with 15 points as well, and the game-deciding rebound off the intentional miss from Covenant's final free throw attempt.
- Covenant senior guard Logan Patterson (Section, Ala.) enjoyed a 22-point performance in the Scots' losing effort.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the court Tuesday when they travel to Piedmont University for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff after the initial contest was rescheduled from Jan 27th.
- Covenant plays their next game at Belhaven University on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. eastern time.
