LAGRANGE, Ga. – Bryonne Herring has been named as the head coach of the LaGrange College flag football program in an announcement by the LaGrange athletics department on Friday.

Matthew Hayes said. "His passion for recruiting, mentoring, and coaching young women was evident in the interview process. Bryonne's values as a person align with the mission at LaGrange College. We are looking forward to the growth of this program under his leadership."
Herring comes to LaGrange from Meredith College in North Carolina where he was the inaugural head coach of the Avenging Angels flag football program.
Prior to his time at Meredith, Herring served as the head coach for flag football at his alma mater of SUNY Brockport, where he also served as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Golden Eagles.
Herring was a varsity football player at SUNY Brockport where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in 2015. Herring then served as the head strength and condition coach at nearby RIT from 2015 to 2017 before accepting the same role at the University of Mount Olive from 2017 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he was the head strength and condition coach at Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where he also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the football team.
Originally from Gates, New York, Herring attended Gates-Chili High School. He earned his master's in strength and conditioning from Lagrange College in 2018.
