LaGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's basketball team cruised to a 73-57 win against visiting Covenant College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Friday at historic Mariotti Gymnasium in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter was tightly contested as both squads aimed to establish their attacking presence around the court. LaGrange exited the first stanza with a two-point advantage up 13-11.
- In the second frame, LC really began to take charge, nearly doubling the Scots as they enjoyed a 34-22 lead at the half.
- The Panthers took advantage of the crooked second quarter by remaining consistant in the second half, fending off any semblance of a comeback effort by the visitors from Lookout Mountain, Georgia in a 73-57 victory to remain perfect in CCS play.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange senior guard Amanda Mclendon (Orlando, Fla.) led the way, notching her third double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds, respectively.
- Freshman guard Adazha Burrell (Melbourne, Fla.) wasn't far behind, amassing 17 points with three steals and a pair of assists.
- Panther senior guard Laila Battle (Smyrna, Ga.) was the red and black's main three-point getter, going 4-9 from behind the arc for 14 points and a perfect night at the charity stripe (2-2).
