MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The LaGrange College women's basketball team won 66-58 at Huntingdon College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Tuesday evening at Catherine Dixon Roland Arena in Montgomery, Alabama.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers were up 37-23 at halftime before the Hawks came storming back in the third quarter, going into the final frame trailing only by two, 46-44. In the fourth it was LaGrange coming out of the gate swinging, as an 8-1 run was capped off with a three-point play from freshman guard Mya Anderson (Jones County, Ga.) to go up by nine with 7:26 remaining. The Panthers wouldn't let their foot off the gas again.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange senior guard Amanda Mclendon (Orlando, Fla.) posted her fourth double-double of the season, leading the Panthers with 14 points and a season-high 13 rebounds to go along with two steals.
- LaGrange freshman guard Adazhah Burrell (Melbourne, Fla.) matched her career-high with 11 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals.
- Despite a tough shooting night, LaGrange senior guard Laila Battle (Smyrna, Ga.) finished with nine points, five boards and a team-high four assists.
- Anderson added seven points and seven rebounds for the Panthers.
- Huntingdon junior guard Kennedi McCray (Birmingham, Ala.) led all scorers with 15 points and four rebounds before fouling out. Senior guard Makayla Ford (Huntsville, Ala.) added 12 and five.
- The Panthers had a 20-9 edge in second-chance points.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the court on Thursday when they play host to Wesleyan College in a 6:00 p.m. game.
- Huntingdon plays their next game at Asbury University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
