LANETT, Ala. - The LaGrange College women's golf team completed their first tournament of the 2025-26 season this past weekend, competing in the Fall Skyhawk Invitational hosted by Point University.
Tournament Summary
- LaGrange sophomore Cannon Ramsey (Tallahassee, Fla.) earned a top-40 finish, tying for 39th after shooting respective rounds of +14 and +22 to total a score of 180.
- Sophomore Alexa Fontanez (Columbus, Ga.) opened round one with a +22 performance before improving in the second round with +19. The 185 score was good enough for a finish of 45th place.
- Directly behind was fellow sophomore Emma McCoy (Carrollton, Ga.), whose score of 186 secured her 46th-place finish. McCoy had the second-best hole of the group with a +18 effort in round one.
- Panther freshmen Addison Gibboney (Kennesaw, Ga.) and Addison Hegwood-Anderson (Summerville, Ga.) finished their first collegiate tournament with respective scores of 207 (Gibboney) and 209 (Hegwood-Anderson).

LC returns to the links on Sep. 20 when they travel northward to compete in the TWU Fall Classic hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University. The tournament will be held at The Links at Kahite golf club in Vonore, Tennessee.
