MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The LaGrange College women's volleyball team fell short in both of their first two matches at the Huntingdon Tournament hosted by Huntingdon College on Friday at Catherine Dixon Roland Arena and Wilson Gymnasium in Montgomery, Alabama, falling in straight-set fashion to the host Hawks and the Majors of Millsaps College.
HUNTINGDON 3, LAGRANGE 0 (21-25, 23-25, 23-25)
- LaGrange freshman outside hitter Jasmine Gross (Antioch, Tenn.) led the team with seven kills. She was also a key contributor defensively, adding seven digs to her ledger as well.
- Sophomore outside hitter Kaitlin Gilchrist (Pelham, Ala.) made some serious headwind in her return to her home state, laying down three kills and a team-high 10 digs.
- Senior right side hitter Meredith Orton (Cartersville, Ga.) made the most of her opportunities, with three kills off four attempts, good for a .750 kill percentage.
MILLSAPS 3, LAGRANGE 0 (20-25, 17-25, 22-25)
- Gross upped her play even more against Millsaps, recording another team-high 11 kills while adding five digs on the defensive end.
- Sophomore libero Isabella Zentkovich (Sharpsburg, Ga.) earned double-digits in the dig department, posting a 10-piece for the Panthers as they tried to stifle the Majors' offensive efforts.
- Sophomore setter Julia Damico (North Port, Fla.) once more helped the Red and Black on the attacking front, racking up an impressive 27 assists and 15 digs as she tried to will her squad to victory over the Majors.

LaGrange is back on the court on Saturday when they continue tournament play against St. Thomas University and Piedmont University at 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., respectively.
