LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie against visiting Covenant College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday at Panther Field in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Scots led 1-0 at halftime and took a 2-0 lead in the 47th minute when Covenant freshman forward Georgie Strawbridge (Lakeland, Fla.) found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore defender Autumn Biancamano (Phoenix, Ariz.). LaGrange turned to freshman forward Gabby Worthy (Bremen, Ga.), already a CCS Rookie of the Week recipient earlier this season, broke away from the Scots' defense in the 61st and 68th minutes with a pair of breakaway goals, giving her five scores on the year. The final minutes of the game saw a flurry of scoring chances by Covenant, but the Panthers held firm, escaping with the draw.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange junior goalkeeper Anna Wright (Sharpsburg, Ga.) posted a season-high seven saves for the Panthers, going the distance for 90 minutes.
- Covenant junior goalkeeper Bronwyn Kickasola (New York City, N.Y.) had two stops for the Scots.
- Total shots were 14-6 in favor of the visitors.
