LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's volleyball team rallied to a four-set victory against visiting Huntingdon College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Wednesday evening at the Mariotti Gymnasium in LaGrange, Georgia.

Score: Huntingdon 1, LaGrange College 3 (22-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-17)
Records: Panthers 4-12, 2-0 CCS | Hawks 8-6, 0-1 CCS
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, the Panthers led for much of the way, taking a 17-14 lead off a kill from LaGrange senior middle-hitter Zentrina Choice (Sumter, S.C.). But an 8-1 run by the Hawks saw Huntingdon surge into the lead and ultimately prevail.
- The second set saw the Panthers take an early 7-1 lead, with LaGrange sophomore libero Emma Campbell (Killen, Ala.) holding serve on the last three sets. The Hawks attempted to rally late, pulling to within four at 23-19. But Choice closed out the set with back-to-back kills to claim the frame for LC.
- The third was a back and forth nail-biter as the Panthers set up set point at 24-21. But the Hawks would rally to tie it up, ultimately forcing extra points. LaGrange closed it out with freshman outside hitter Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) picking up the kill to set up set point and Choice finishing it off.
- In the fourth, LaGrange burst out of the gate to take an 10-3 lead, then held off a late rally to close out the set with freshman outside hitter Jasmine Gross (Antioch, Tenn.) closing it out with a kill on match point.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange sophomore outside hitter Ella Kahikina (Tampa, Fla.) led the Panthers with 15 kills, a .433 hitting percentage and seven digs.
- Krabs added 12 kills and nine digs.
- Gross had ten kills and five total blocks.
- Huntingdon sophomore outside hitter Morgan Suggs (Portland, Tex.) led the Hawks with 17 kills and 13 digs.
- LaGrange won the match at the net, with nine blocks to Huntingdon's five.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the court on Saturday when they travel to Asbury University for a CCS tri-match against Wesleyan College and the host Eagles.
- Huntingdon plays their next game at the Agnes Scott College tri-match, that also coming this Saturday.
