HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Panthers applied the pressure early, outshooting The W 5-1 early in the contest's onset. They finally broke through when sophomore forward Damien Fekete (Columbus, Ga.) deposited the match's opening tally in the back of the hosts' net to give his squad the early one-nil lead.
  • Not to be outdone by the Panthers, the Owls quickly kicked their offense into high gear as they were able to respond minutes later with a goal of their own in the 24th minute. The game would remain tied at one-apiece heading into the half.
  • The second half was all LC as they continued the relentless pressure, eventually breaking the game wide open with back-to-back goals in just over a five-minute span to take a 3-1 lead.
  • With the momentum clearly on their side, LaGrange took full advantage by capping their efforts off with three goals to secure the emphatic 6-1 win.
