LONGVIEW, Tex. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team lost 4-0 at LeTourneau University in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the LETU Soccer Field in Longview, Texas.
THE BASICS
Score: LeTourneau 4, LaGrange 0
Records: Panthers 1-4-1, 0-0-0 CCS | Yellow Jackets 4-0-1, 0-0-0 SCAC
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Yellow Jackets peppered LC with shots in the opening minutes of the match. The early pressure would eventually lead to the Panther defence conceding the contest's first goal as LETU led 1-0 early in the game's onset. LaGrange was able to settle down and keep the deficit at one heading into the locker rooms.
- It seemed as if the Panthers were beginning to gain their footing offensively as they laid down a pair of shots and received a corner kick opportunity to try and equalize the contest to open the second half.
- Unfortunately for LC, an 11-minute collapse which saw three-straight Yellow Jacket goals quickly dispatched their hopes as they fell to 1-4-1 on the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange junior midfielder Charlee Hunt (Dallas, Ga.) led the team with two shots on goal.
- Panther goalkeeper Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.) notched her second-highest save total of the season, denying eight Yellow Jacket shots on the afternoon.
