ROME, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's volleyball team lost in straight sets at the Berry College Invitational in non-conference action on Friday afternoon at the Cage Center in Rome, Georgia, falling to the host Vikings, 26-24, 25-14, 25-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers battled in the opening set, recovering from a 23-19 deficit to tie it up at 24-all behind the serving of LaGrange sophomore setter Julia Damico (North Port, Fla.). But the Vikings picked up back-to-back kills from Berry junior outside hitter Keira Kruk (Naples, Fla.) to close out the set. LC never threatened again.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange freshman outside hitter Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) continued her outstanding rookie season, leading the Panthers with nine kills and nine digs.
- LaGrange freshman middle-blocker Kaitlyn Smith (Buckeye, Ariz.) totaled four total blocks with three kills.
- Damico tallied 11 digs and ten set assists.
- Berry senior outside hitter Lura Underwood (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Vikings with 13 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
