WILMORE, Ky. - The LaGrange College Baseball Team (9-7, 1-0 Collegiate Conference of the South) toppled the Eagles of Asbury University (3-7, 0-1 CCS) in game one of this week's three-game series by a final score of 16-2 on Thursday night (Mar. 13).

Game Summary
The Panthers drew first blood to start the game, scoring three in the first two innings thanks to an RBI single by Adam Dorn, followed by a two-run homer by Colin Jones. The Eagles finally got on the board in the fourth inning, reaching via error to make it a 3-1 LC advantage.

The fifth inning was all-LaGrange, as the Panther bats reached scalding-hot temperatures. The seven-run inning was highlighted by an exhilarating grand slam by Jones, as he notched LC's 10th run of the game with the 4RBI shot. By the time it was all said and done, the Panthers had obtained a key 16-2 victory to open up conference play a crisp 1-0.

Jones led the team with six RBI's off three hits, two of which were of the home run variety.

Fletcher Hislop also had a key game for LC, scoring four runs off two hits for the St. Petersburg, Fl native's credit.
