Panthers pick up big win on the road over Wesleyan

MACON, Ga. - The LaGrange Panthers Women's Basketball Team (12-11, 6-8 Collegiate Conference of the South) handled business Tuesday night (Feb. 18), toppling the Wolves of Wesleyan College (0-22, 0-15) by a final score of 74-48 from Porter Gymnasium.

Game Summary
LC dominated early, jumping out to a 10-4 lead in the first four minutes of action. The Panthers' control of the game would stand firm through the end of the first quarter, as they led 20-14 after one.

LaGrange really opened things up in the second quarter, extending their lead to as much as 13 with just over five minutes remaining in the half. Much to the chagrin of the Wolves' faithful in attendance, their stranglehold on the contest would only grow tighter as the Panthers enjoyed a 40-22 advantage at the half.

The second half's onset quarter was all-LC as they continued to ravage the Wolves' defense to take a commanding 61-35 lead heading into the final quarter. Whatever Wesleyan had left in the tank would prove to be well short of what was needed to mount a competitive comeback as LaGrange earned their 12th win of the season in the 74-48 final.
