LAGRANGE, Ga. - LaGrange walked off with its first win of the 2025 season, defeating Pfeiffer 6-5 in 10 innings Friday at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium. The win stopped a three-game losing skid for the Panthers (1-3). The visiting Falcons were playing their season opener.
Senior designated hitter
Tray Owens was the hero for LaGrange. He had two hits, including a double, scored a run, and drove in three runs. Owens' sacrifice fly brought in the winning run in the 10th.

Fletcher Hislop, and
Jorge Fragoso all had two hits. The Panthers finished the game with 12 hits.
Caden Hare (1-0), the fifth Panther pitcher in the game, got the win with two innings of scoreless relief.
Eduardo Peralta started on the mound for LC. Peralta pitched into the sixth, allowing three runs, only one was earned.
In the 10th,
Colby Zinser reached on a one out single to right field. Hislop followed with a double down the right field line as Zinser stopped at third. Fragoso was intentionally walked to load the bases to bring up Owens. Owens sent a fly ball deep enough to center field to easily score Zinser with the winning run.
Peralta worked out of no-out bases loaded jam in the first inning with only one run scoring. In the bottom of the second, the Panthers loaded the bases with no outs. Smigelski scored as Fragoso hit sharply into a double play. Owens put LC up 2-1 with an RBI single throught the left side to score Zinser for a 2-1 lead.
The Panthers went up 3-1 in the fifth inning. Owens, who walked to lead off the inning, scored when
Adam Dorn hit into a double play.
The Falcons tied the game 3-3 in the sixth, forcing Peralta from the game.
The Panthers regained the lead in their half of the sixth. Fragoso had a run-scoring single and Owens followed with a two-out RBI double for a 5-3 lead. Pfeiffer tied the game in the eighth. Fragoso prevented the Falcons from taking the lead, throwing out the potential go-ahead run  at home to complete an inning-ending double play.
The Panthers face No. 20 Adrian on Saturday beginning at noon.
