Spring 2025 Preview
The new-look Panthers started off the season last weekend (Feb. 7&8) at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Ga. LC went 1-2, losing their first two matches against TMU and Mobile University, but won their first match in program history against Georgia Highlands College. "I couldn't be more excited for our first team win," said junior Meredith Orton, who won her match with Zentrina Choice to help score a clean sweep against the Chargers. "There's been a lot of hard work out in over the past years, so to see some positive results from it was a great feeling." The rest of LC's 2025 schedule features conference foes Huntingdon and Wesleyan College, historic rival Berry College and the aforementioned Truett McConnell Bears. The Panthers will have two home dates, a doubleheader against TMU on Feb. 15 and a tri-match against Emmanuel University and Wesleyan on Mar. 1-2. LaGrange will wrap up their season at the AVCA Small School Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama, taking place on April 18-20.
Panther to Watch
Choice, a Sumter, S.C. native, will look to power LaGrange in the 2025 season. During the fall indoor season, she led the team in points, kills and attack percentage (.204). The junior will look to carry the momentum from the fall season, as well as last weekend, into the rest of the Panther campaign.
