LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's basketball team was victorious over visiting Truett McConnell University in non-conference action on Saturday night in a 91-76 final from Mariotti Gymnasium in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was a high-scoring affair, as both teams came out with their best stuff to start the season. The Panthers' offensive efforts were stymied late in the half, but were able to make a couple clutch buckets to only trail 47-42 at the break.
- The second half was all-LaGrange, as the Red and Black totally dominated the floor with 49 points, holding the Bears to just 27. Junior guard Austen Colton (Sharpsburg, Ga.) ignited LC's offense with three-consecutive three's to put them in front, where they would remain for the rest of the contest en route to a home-opening win to start the season unbeaten.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Panthers racked up 13 points off turnovers.
- Sophomore forward Kani Rashied-Henry (Tyrone, Ga.) led LC with 18 points and six rebounds on the night.
- LaGrange was 13-16 from the charity stripe and totaled 21 total rebounds.
