HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers trailed by one at the half but an early 8-0 run by the Majors saw them take a 71-58 lead. LaGrange would pull to within six off a pair of free throws by senior guard Micah McAllister (Newnan, Ga.) with 9:09 to go, but that would be as close as they would get as Millsaps pulled away down the stretch.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- McAllister led the Panthers with 19 points and seven rebounds with three steals.
- Millsaps junior guard Davion James (Brandon, Miss.) led the Majors with 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

- The Majors claimed a 31-24 edge in rebounding. Three-point shooting was an Achilles' Heel for the Panthers as they shot a combined 7-of-26 (26.9 percent.)
