MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team lost 4-0 at Maryville College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday afternoon at the MC Soccer Complex in Maryville, Tennessee.
THE BASICS
Score: LaGrange 0, Maryville 4
Records: Panthers 4-9-3, 2-3-2 CCS | Scots 8-6-0, 6-1-0 CCS
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was an air tight affair, as neither team could get the ball through for a majority of the frame. That all changed in the 43rd minute when Maryville's Katie Cotten lasered a shot just past the outstretched gloves of Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.), who had enjoyed a clean sheet up to that point.
- Unfortunately for LC, a second half collapse plagued their efforts as Maryville cashed in on three occasions to secure the four-nil victory
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Makuch made seven saves in net for the Panthers.
- Total shots were 27-2 (11-1 SOG) in favor of Maryville.
