LC Women’s Soccer secures 4-3 win

Kaine Baker earned his first head coaching win with a 4-3 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan University (Sept. 6).

Game Details
Tonight's game against NCWU started off with both teams attempting to set up plays from their own side of the field. Everything stayed tied at 0-0 until the Panthers play found Kaia King wide open on the goalie's doorstep for her to finish with a strong shot. After the Panther points in the 21st minute, NCWU quickly responded with a wide open shot on Anna Wright, but Wright made a great save to keep the game at 1-0. Only a couple minutes later, King scored her second goal but not her last. Going into the half, LC led 3-0 thanks to a Charlee Hunt score. The game stayed at 3-0 until a NCWU shot made it past Anna Wright in the second half. At the 83rd minute mark, the Bishops scored again but King responded with her third goal of the game. Despite NCWU's best efforts, LC held on to win 4-3.
