LC Women's Soccer fall at Berry 4-0

The LaGrange College Panthers Women's Soccer Team (2-2-2) were handed a tough road loss against Berry College (1-4-2) Tuesday evening (Sept. 17) by a final score of 4-0.

Match Details
The Vikings came out with strong offensive play in the first half, dominating the time-of-possession as the field seemed to be tilted in their favor. BC would eventually break through in the 35th minute after a costly yellow card by LC set Vikings midfielder Teresa Rodriguez up for a penalty kick, which she promptly cashed in on to give her team their first lead of the season. Berry would strike once again just minutes later as Margaret Eddins buried a loose ball into the back of the LaGrange net amidst a goal-bound scramble to double her team's lead.

Unfortunately for LC, the Vikings' offensive onslaught would continue in the second half, as Mia Ries lasered a shot from outside the box past the outstretched hands of Anna Wright to give her team a 3-0 lead. Mia MacDougal would extend the Berry lead to four goals as she snuck one in from the short side to make it 4-0. Despite an effort to try and inch their way back into the game, the damage indeed had been done as LaGrange walked away with the 4-0 loss, dropping to a deuces-wild 2-2-2 on the season.
