The LaGrange College Women's Soccer Team are headed home after a hard-fought match against Toccoa Falls College on Saturday (Sept. 21) which resulted in a draw.

Match Details
The first half was highly contested as both teams put forth a tremendous effort to notch the game's first goal. Unfortunately for the visiting LC, that privilege would go to the hosts as F Maddie DeSilva broke away and netted the opening goal in the 18th minute to put her team in front early. The Panthers enjoyed a majority of possession in their attacking third thereafter and would ultimately make good on the possession advantage later in the half, as Briana Suarez sniped a shot from the short side into the top corner to knot things up at one each.

Both squads defenses clamped down majorly in the second half, as neither team could break through the opposing side's stingy defense in order to net the game-winner. The clock ultimately struck double zeros before any such goal could be scored, as both teams walked away with a deadlocked final of 1-1.

The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday (Sept. 24) when they host Oglethorpe Univeristy. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
