A 67th minute Pride goal was just enough for Greensboro College to secure the victory over LC (Sept. 15). The Panthers finished the weekend 1-1, bringing the overall record to 2-3.
Game Details
The second and final match of the Panthers' North Carolina trip against Greensboro College started with the hosts on the attack. In the first 20 minutes, the Pride of GC had already placed four shots on target to the Panthers' zero. Around the 25th, LC began to settle in, which slowed the GC offense. Freshmen goalkeeper Sawyer Williams finished with four saves in the scoreless first half.
In the 67th minute, a Pride forward snuck a shot past the Panthers from the left edge of the goal area. LC attempted to create scoring opportunities, but GC prevented any points accumulating. Lucas Duke took a strong shot on goal in the 84th minute, however, the Pride goalie snatched the ball just in time.
The hosts held on to win 1-0.

Sawyer Williams had today's top performance. The goalkeeper held the Pride to one goal after making five saves.
