LC Volleyball opens 2024 season with home tri-match

This Saturday (Aug. 31), the LC Volleyball Team takes on Pensacola Christian College at 12 p.m. and Middle Georgia State University at 5 p.m. in Richter Gymnasium.

The teams
The Panthers have not played in any regular season games yet. The team is coming off of a 4-21 campaign. From Meredith Orton to Zentrina Choice, LC returned the majority of last year's unit. In addition to the returners, Head Coach Dan Schulte brought in a freshman class of 15 athletes. PCC has also yet to play in an official match this year. In 2023, the Eagles secured a 13-12 overall record. MGSU currently sits with a record of 1-2. The Knights finished the 2023 season 5-14 overall. 

Recent history
LaGrange holds a 4-2 all-time W/L record over the Eagles. The last two the two teams clashed, PCC snuck out a 16-14 fifth set win to clinch the victory over the Panthers. Past box scores between the two can be found here. As for MGSU, this will be the first time the Panthers have faced off against the Knights.

When and where to watch
The Panthers play against PCC at 12 p.m. and MGSU at 5 p.m. All three matches will be streamed live here.
