The #4 Panthers take their first loss of the CCS Postseason Tournament after dropping the second round to the #2 Blazers 11-2. The Panthers play Huntingdon tonight at 7 p.m.

Eduardo Peralta was tonight's first Panther pitcher. Peralta has thrown in 54.2 innings this season, posting a 4.28 ERA and a 2-5 W/L record. Just recently, the sophomore from Panama threw his 100th career strikeout. On the mound for Belhaven was the 2023 D3 Baseball National Pitcher of the Year Brett Sanchez. In 80 innings pitched, Sanchez holds a 2.58 ERA and a 6-2 W/L record. The Blazers were the first to score tonight. In the second, Belhaven jumped out to a 3-0 lead after hitting a two-run RBI and scoring on an LC throwing error. The score stayed at 3-0 until the Panthers scored two in the fourth. This was thanks to a pair of RBIs hit by
David Smigelski and
Coy Phillips. In the top of the fifth, the Blazers responded with an RBI single down the right field line, extending their lead to 4-2. During the seventh inning, Peralta rotated out for
Jack Richards. The Blazers added four more runs in the top of the eighth to go up 8-2. Richards would be replaced by
Nick Morgan. The Blazers finished the top of the inning up 11-2. BU held on to secure the nine point win.Â
