Maryville College took the series 2-1, after the Panthers suffered a 8-7 game three loss (April 28).

Logan Willis started on the mound in game three. The freshman from Waverly Hall, Ga. has posted a 4.94 ERA and a 2-1 W/L record in his eight appearances. Today's senior day was a picture perfect 78 degrees, which was reflected by the packed Phil Williamson Stadium at Cleaveland Field.

Jackson McElvy put the Panthers up 1-0 in the second when he placed a strong line drive RBI shot into right field. The Scots responded with a two-run RBI double in the following inning. Still in the third, MC hit another RBI double to go up 3-1. During the fourth,
Benjamin Epperley took over the Panthers' pitching duties. In this inning, the Scots went up 6-1 after hitting another pair of RBIs. With the bases loaded and two outs,
Caden Hare came in for Epperley. Hare escaped the inning without letting up a score. During the seventh, Hare rotated out for
Jack Richards with the MC lead locked up at 6-1. In the next inning, Richards was replaced on the mound by
Nash Evans. During the bottom of the eighth, LC cut the Scots lead to 6-2 thanks to an RBI single by
Riley George.
Jackson McElvy then hit another Panther in on a single, bringing the score to 6-3. Still in the eighth, the Panthers scored a run when MC walked
Rhett Mixon with the bases loaded.
Jorge Fragoso then tied the game up at 6-6 after he crushed a two-run RBI single. The Panthers ended the inning up 7-6 thanks to a RBI by
Joe Ruth. In the ninth,
Eli Folds came in to close out the game. The Scots tied the game 7-7 after back-to-back errors allowed a base runner to score. Going into the final frame, MC held a 8-7 lead. The Scots would go on to win 8-7.

Caden Hare pitched in a total of two innings today. He let up three hits but held the Scots scoreless.

Nash Evans came in. Through one inning, he had two strikeouts and let up one hit.
Sophomore
Eli Folds closed out the day for the Panthers. In the ninth, Folds threw one strikeouts and let up two runs off of one hit.
