This Friday (Feb. 23), LC takes on the Blazers at 7 p.m. for a chance to advance to the CCS Championship. The Semis can be streamed here.
 
The teams 
The Panthers are 18-6 (12-4 CCS) and are coming off of a 79-71 win over Huntingdon (Feb. 17). In that game, freshman forward Taylor Smith secured a double-double after scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Junior guard Zyhia Johnson averages a team-high 16.7 points per game. The Blazers are 9-16 (7-9 CCS) and most recently beat Piedmont 81-72 in double overtime of the CCS Quarterfinals (Feb. 20). Senior forward Ebony Gayden averages a Blazer-high 15.3 points per game.

Recent history 
The Panthers beat the Blazers both times they have played them this season. Going into halftime of first game, Belhaven led 37-35 but the Panthers offense exploded in the second half to secure the big 95-74 win (Jan. 2). Zyhia Johnson scored a team-high 25 points, shooting 50% from the field. Taylor Smith finished the day with a double-double after scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. In the second game, Belhaven led 42-36 going into the fourth quarter. Bu thanks to a late LC push, the Panthers secured a 64-56 win at home (Jan. 24). In that game, Zyhia Johnson had a team-high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Amanda Mclendon added another double-double to her resume after she scored 12 points and added 13 rebounds.
