Game Details
The Panthers picked up from where they left off yesterday, dominating anyone that steps on the court with them. LC opened the game with two rapid scoring plays from senior guard Zyhia Johnson, putting the Panthers ahead 5-0 and setting the tone for what was to come. Three minutes into the first quarter, SBC knocked down several easy baskets and made free throws, trimming the Panthers' lead to 11-6. These would be the final Charger points of the quarter. LC closed out the first period with a 10-point run, extending the lead to 21-6. Johnson posted a team-high 10 points, shooting 4-7 (57%) from the field through one.

Although the LaGrange three-pointers struggled to connect in the second period (2-7), the Panthers' dominance remained unchanged. Regardless of the Chargers' efforts, LaGrange shut down everything that came their way, capitalizing on SBC's mistakes and converting them into points. It was not just one or two Panthers scoring either, seven different players tallied a point in the first half. At the break, LC held a 43-10 advantage, outscoring their opponent 22-4 in the second period. Zyhia Johnson finished with a Panther-best 14 points shooting 6-9 (67%) from the field.

Coming out of the break, LaGrange kept their foot on the pedal with Laila Battle leading the charge. The junior guard scored a team-high eight points in the third quarter, hitting back-to-back three-pointers followed by a powerful layup. This gave the Panthers a 68-20 advantage heading into the final period.

Battle was not done with her second half scoring tear, knocking down a shot from beyond the arc to open the fourth. Zyhia Johnson joined in on the fun, sinking a pair of threes followed by a jumper. LC went on to secure a 86-27 win over SBC.

This victory concluded a 2-0 weekend for the Panthers in which LC outscored their opponents 186-57. Laila Battle finished with a team-high 24 points hitting 9-15 (60%) of her field goals and 4-6 (66%) of her three-pointers. Amanda Mclendon secured her fifth double-double of the season after scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
