LaGrange College Women's Basketball faces Emory University this Wednesday (Nov.13) in the first home contest of the season. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be streaming live here. 

The Matchup

The Panthers are currently 1-0 following a crushing 104-54 win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Nov. 11). Senior guard Zyhia Johnson picked up from where she left off last season, continuing to torment opposing defenses with her explosive offensive attack. Johnson scored a team-high 24 points, shooting 43% from two and 25% from beyond the arc. Junior forward Amanda Mclendon secured her first double-double, knocking in 22 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. NOTE- ABAC is still correcting the stats from this game. The Eagles of Emory University have yet to play a game this season, but are coming off of a solid 19-7 campaign. Despite EU losing their top scorer, the Eagles returned senior standout Daniella Aronsky. The guard averaged 10 points and a team-high 6.5 assists per game last season, finishing ranked 18th in Division III for total assists (135). This stellar season earned her a spot on the D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team. 

Panthers to Watch

One Panther to watch this game is freshman forward Tianna Rabsatt. In last week's win, Rabsatt showcased her defensive skills by securing a team-high four blocks in addition to her eight rebounds. It will be interesting to see how the young forward does against a veteran Emory frontcourt.
