Panthers wrap up regular season at Belhaven

LC Men's Soccer travels to Belhaven University this Saturday (Oct. 26) for the final regular season match of the season. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

The Teams
The Panthers improved to 4-9-1 (2-3 CCS) following a blowout 4-1 victory over Huntingdon College (Oct. 16) and a 2-2 draw with Middle Georgia State University (Oct. 20). Robel Teshome earned CCS Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season thanks to his outstanding performance in the conference win. The senior forward scored his 20th point of the season after knocking in a goal and setting up two assists against HC. This is five more points than he had his previous three years combined (15). Senior goalkeeper Andrew Cole also put up a strong showing against the Hawks of HC. Cole finished posting a stellar .833 save percentage with five total saves, en route to improving his career record to 20-23-2. Through his 11 appearances this season, the Peachtree City native secured a .720 save percentage and 4-7 record.

The Blazers of Belhaven continued their three-game winning streak with a victory over Millsaps College (Oct. 23), raising their season record to 9-3-4 (3-1-1 CCS). Sophomore forward Wesley Bloodworth leads the Blazers with 12 points off of six goals. The lone keeper for BU is junior Danny Bahena. In 16 appearances, Bahena has posted a .807 save percentage and a 9-3-4 record.
